AN IVANHOE children’s author is busting monsters from children’s wardrobes in her latest book Monster Spray. Author Kristina Murray-Hally, pictured, released her fifth book in November, about a boy who discovers monsters creating a monster spray in the back of his wardrobe. Murray-Hally said the spray had symbolic significance of facing and erasing fears in life. She said the book was inspired by a good friend’s son, who had problems getting to sleep at night. “It’s a magic spray, which is about spraying your fears away. “My mantra is about the power of imagination, so all of my books have an imaginative thread which runs through them.”

The book is for sale at Andrews Bookshop in Ivanhoe.
